OFF-SEASON TRAINING APPROACH

  • PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT

    Our assessment protocol gives us instant feedback to optimize training plans for the athletes. Performance assessments will be given throughout the course of the program to establish baseline athleticism for each athlete and track progressions throughout.

  • STR8 PERFORMANCE APP

    All Summer Elite athletes gain access to our STR8 Performance App. All workouts will be posted on the athlete’s calendar which helps track their workout progress, monitor their progression with exercises, and keeps them accountable when they’re not able to attend in-person sessions.

  • EDUCATION

    Throughout the summer we will have guest hosts covering key topics in performance training to help expand the our knowledge as athletes. Topics will include breathing techniques, nutrition, and mental health. These field experts will help educate athletes as well as add valuable integration into each phase of training.

  • OFF-SITE TRAINING

    As we progress through the program off-site training days will be added to enhance the training program past the confines of our facility. These training sites includes hill sprints, track and field days, and beach workouts.

RESTORATION OF MOVEMENT QUALITY

Weeks 1-2

It all begins with baseline testing. Each athlete will perform a series of athletic tests to establish a foundation and build upon their initial results. During the first few weeks of the program, we will place an emphasis on restoring movement quality and establishing foundational strength for the athletes. Addressing movement dysfunctions, core activation, deceleration patterns, and overall strength will be key components of the training regimen during this phase.

MOVEMENT VARIABILITY

Weeks 3-5

It’s time to build upon the foundation we’ve established. Here is where we start to build on movements we established in the first few months by adding compound lifts, change of direction, and speed development. Building muscle mass and gaining maximum strength during this phase will be a key component in preparation for the upcoming season.

FORCE ABSORPTION, PRODUCTION & APPLICATION

Weeks 6-10

Now that we’ve improved your muscle size and overall strength, you will be able to produce effective and efficient power. During the final phases of training, we emphasize olympic lifting, plyometrics, top-end speed, and sport-specific movements. Being able to move the maximum amount weight with speed and efficiency will have you prepared for preseason and game-like scenarios.
